Two convicted of benefit fraud at Enniskillen court - 19 May 2008

Two men were convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
Kevin Rogers (36) of Sallyswood, Enniskillen wrongfully cashed Income Support cheques totalling £140. He was given a six month suspended sentence and ordered to pay court costs of £49.
Thomas McConville (43) of Dunlea Vale, Dungannon was given an eight month suspended sentence and ordered to pay court costs of £49 for duplicate encashment of cheques totalling £130.
Both are also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 160 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
