Londonderry man convicted of benefit fraud - 17 April 2008
A man was convicted of benefit fraud at Londonderry Magistrates’ Court today.
Emmett McFadden (27) of Sackville Court, Londonderry was fined £150 and ordered to pay court costs of £55 for duplicate encashment of cheques for Income Support totalling £257.
Mr McFadden is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 124 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
