Holywood woman convicted of benefit fraud - 07 April 2008

A Holywood woman was convicted of benefit fraud at Bangor Magistrates’ Court today.
Elaine Bailey (38) of Church Green, Holywood, claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £992 while failing to declare she was working full time. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay £55 court costs.
Miss Bailey is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 105 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
