Enniskillen man convicted of benefit fraud - 07 April 2008

An Enniskillen man was convicted of benefit fraud at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court today.

Jason Trotter (30) of Harryville Street, Drumgoon, claimed Income Support totalling £2,540 while failing to declare he had capital. He was given a 4 month suspended sentence and fined £500.

Mr Trotter is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

This brings to 106 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
