Belfast woman convicted of benefit fraud - 15 January 2008
A woman was convicted at Belfast Crown Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
Celine Dutton (39), of Durham Street, claimed Income Support totalling £29,754 while failing to declare she had capital. She was given eighteen months probation.
She will also have to repay the money she wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to eight the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
